New Video/Track: Holy Ghost!, “I Will Come Back”
I Will Come Back, the newly pressed single by Holy Ghost! out on Green Label Sound, complete with a shot for shot re-imagination of New Order’s Confusion video. The song itself is a modern space disco-pop gem, complimented with the NO inspired video, it really takes you to another space in time.

Videodrome #6: Thurston Moore on 120 Minutes
Thurston Moore interviews a young (pre-Scientology?) Beck Hansen on this classic episode of MTV’s 120 Minutes and none other than Beastie Boy Mike D comes by for a jam sesh. Pretty, pretty hilarz.
Sonic Youth play Massey Hall tonight. And afterwards, Bad Day hosts this party.

OMG: Fontstruct
OMG I just found about this amazing online app from the people at Fontshop International. It’s called Fontstruct, and it does just what it sounds like it does — let’s you build your own fonts on a modular grid using a set of shapes called “bricks”. Oh, and not only can you build them, you can download them and use them just like Konst & Teknik did for their work on the publication Future Exhibitions.

Simian Mobile Disco, “Audacity of Huge”
A new video from Simian Mobile Disco emerged online a few days ago, but what most impressed me was the discovery of its director — a 22 year-old London-based creative named Kate Moross. Kate has established an inspiring level of success for her age, working in illustration and graphic design, and boasting an impressive range of commercial contacts thus far.
Her online portfolio is certainly something to get you feeling motivated on a Monday. The video for “Audacity of Huge” isn’t too bad, either.

Metric: Collect Call (Tom Wrecks Remix)
Tom Wrecks is one of Toronto’s (Ottawa’s) best new remixing talents. I can’t wait to hear what the Stylusts are cooking up for their full length album, not because Tom’s been Kanye-approved, but because he has vision and big plans for his talent.
This Metric remix tugs at heart strings with sweet vocals and piano. Let us know how you like it on Saturday because he’s playing the Drake Underground and I will be choon selecting myself in the lounge.

D.C. LaRue: Cathedrals
Why is it that all the Facebook messages I get for parties are always boasting that “tonight is going to be crazy!” or “the last party was craaaazy!” or some such? Why does everything have to be “crazy”? I mean, I don’t know about you, but I saw Terminator 2 — going crazy looks like no fun.
SO EXCITED

Videodrome #5: NBA — It’s Fantastic
Before NBA’s Where amazing happens and There can only be one, there was a early 80s campaign simply titled NBA — It’s Fantastic. I picked this up via Bill Simmons’ tweets, and it seemed fitting to share as tonight is game 5 of the finals.
Complete with The Pointed Sisters!

Hot Vid: Avner
Been meaning to post this for weeks — “Bed För Mig” — the new video from Sincerely Yours crooner Avner. Once again, go-to-guy Marcus Söderlund is at the helm, having directed promos for label-mates The Tough Alliance and Air France in the past.
See more of Söderlund’s impressive portfolio (in HD) here.

Electric Sound Basement
More Proof’s favorite radio personality Guy Stevos (sorry Annie Mac) invited the crew for a round of DJ sets for the Electric Sound Basement on CIUT, and once again magical DJ sets made it to the airwaves.
We’ve got the party coming up this friday, so check out the ESB blog and check out these teaser sets for this summer’s blockbuster “More Proof — Locals Only” staring Gingy, Jon Friis, Colin Bergh and Gabe Knox.
