Julian Casablancas: Phrazes For The Young Trailer
The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas is quashing rumors that he’s been up to nothing much with this trailer for his upcoming solo album Phrazes For The Young.
Presumably what Julian’s been up to is watching 80s fantasy movies, because from the visuals to the soundtrack (to his outfit) he has them down. No word yet on if this retro fantasy has anything in common with one of my previous retro fantasies: listening to the Strokes.

this would have been more interesting with the inclusion of some vocals, no? also, i am sitting around in my old strokes baseball tee as i type this, no joke. also, jc always kinda did look like an older atreyu so the 80s fantasy thing is maybe not so much of a stretch

I like that he’s doing something only pompus rich guys can do. Pop music needs some of that right now. What’s with the “Hot107” drums, though?
