Font iQ: the typeface designed by stunt driving

Who would of thought you could design a custom typeface by stunt driving?

Belgium typographers: PleaseLetMeDesign, collaborated with Stef van Campenhoudt: a pro race pilot to design the “iQ font.”

Click here to watch behind the scenes footage of how the Toyota iQ’s maneuvering was tracked with custom software and download the font for free.

They used custom software? I guess they didn’t know about all the off-the-shelf car-to-font software that exists.

I guess it was interesting way to discover fonts in a new form—also, to push the promotion for the Toyota iQ as well.
