Four On The Floor: More Proof 4 Year Anniversary Party and Mix
Four On The Floor: More Proof 4th Anniversary
Awww, now I’m getting all tender.
Four years ago we started a little forum to trade music on, and then we started DJing a party together to play our music.
This was before all the noise on the street was so loud, so by virtue of timing, randomness and gall we became a little go-to spot for our friends, the djs around our little corner of the world to stop by and party in peace.
Over the years the secret has been getting out, but we haven’t really changed – we’re still a group of friends DJing songs and posting dumb sauce on web forums.
Tomorrow evening marks 48 dance parties for us in 4 years. This mix is dedicated to everyone who’s really feeling music in 2011, and some of the special secret surprises in here are dedicated to our supporters from the beginning. Thanks for all the memories.

Jack Sparrow - Dread (Gingy Edit)
Jack Sparrow - Dread (Gingy Edit) by gingy
Isn’t it just like Gingy, our little prince of darkness, to want to ring in the new year with a dose of Dread?
I don’t know what sort of unknowable forces he’s unleashed on this thing in his bat-studio, but sometimes techno is best served cold. And existential. And disturbing.

Pilotpriest x NOW Magazine x TRON: Legacy – ‘Master Control Program Mix’
In celebration of the release of TRON: Legacy, Toronto’s NOW Magazine commissioned Pilotpriest to make a mix illustrating many of his shared influences with the film and its scorers Daft Punk.
Perhaps these influences were what led Daft Punk fans to mistake Pilotpriest’s ‘Body Double’ as a leak from the film earlier this year. Being a fan of both the original film and Daft Punk’s music, he was happy to oblige.

More Proof welcomes Matt Walsh (Turbo, Bugged Out)
On December 3rd, London, UK-based techno DJ Matt Walsh joins us for a special evening in the Drake Underground.
We first heard about Matt Walsh a couple years ago through his wonderful “Get The Curse” Podcast (though it was a limited edition file, sorry folks!). And as the likes of Tiga, Simian Mobile Disco and Erol Alkan have begun to tout him as one of the best in the world, he’s becoming harder and harder to ignore.
Recently Matt has shown much love and support to our own techno ambassador Gingy, so what better a way to reciprocate than to invite him to host a very special night in the Drake Underground—best not to be missed.
For a taste of Matt’s craft, chew on this summer’s Dazed Digital mix.

Jesse Rose in Toronto w/ Gingy
So our brothers in Toronto clubland Wrongbar are celebrating three years, and they had the prudence to book one of our favorite DJs in the world to do so! I am referring of course, to More Proof’s own Gingy. Just kidding, although the aforementioned is true. Jesse Rose is one of the best guys doing it right now. Case in point, his recent T.E.E.D. remix.
Jesse’s Made To Play Records just celebrated 5 years of their own with this compilation, which is rather nice. So join us Saturday.

André De Pape: 99:33 Mix
Yesterday More Proof’s resident swell guy, André De Pape, offered up this terrific new mix. It’s a great primer for tonight’s big TIFF party where he’ll be playing alongside Gabe Knox, Johnny Hockin and our special LA guests, Acid Girls. See you all tonight!
Have a listen

Our Annual Toronto Film Festival Party featuring Acid Girls!
You might recognise the name Acid Girls because you downloaded free mp3s from their really awesome blog (back when free music was a new idea). You might know the name because you downloaded their recent bangers off someone else’s blog (not theirs, though, it’s since retired).
But this past year Acid Girls have began establishing themselves for productions that are aware of the slicker sides of house, techno and hip hop, without forgetting their banging responsibility to the party.
And judging by their recent live sets, these guys have honed and refined their powers to reach the next level of party sorcery. Toronto, you’re due for a visit, and we’re proud to be the ones to bring you the city’s first appearance of Acid Girls.

Gingy & Bordello - Vaporizer EP Now Available On Beatport
Not too long ago, More Proof’s resident technerd Gingy started “jamming out” with another young upstart producer called Bordello. The value of their collabo was obvious - the resulting Vaporizer is their best production yet.
After a nice run of DJ support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Simian Mobile Disco, Tim Green, Brodinski, Jokers of the Scene, and more, the ep is now available to everyone via the Beatport link below. Go Gingy!
P.S. Big up to our old pal (and recent Boys Noize signee) Rynecologist for the remix.

Dré-Bans: Double Rainbow Mix
Toronto’s in the middle of a scorcher this week, and there’s no way better to beat the heat than with a nice cold beverage and More Proof’s resident resident Dré-Bans’ brand-new Double Rainbow Mix. Normally I wouldn’t post about the weather, but it’s seriously hot as balls out here.
