Font iQ: the typeface designed by stunt driving

Who would of thought you could design a custom typeface by stunt driving?

Belgium typographers: PleaseLetMeDesign, collaborated with Stef van Campenhoudt: a pro race pilot to design the “iQ font.”

Click here to watch behind the scenes footage of how the Toyota iQ’s maneuvering was tracked with custom software and download the font for free.

Bishop Morocco

This band sounds like every good band from 1978-2002

Bishop Morocco

Confession: I still hate it when someone asks me if I’ve heard of a band and I have to say no. It’s the same feeling I got in High School when I wouldn’t know the answer.

Fortunately that’s never gonna happen with Bishop Morocco. I can be all “Actually, I went to their first show.” Which is cool, cuz they’re probably gonna be pretty big.

Julian Casablancas: Phrazes For The Young Trailer

The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas is quashing rumors that he’s been up to nothing much with this trailer for his upcoming solo album Phrazes For The Young

Presumably what Julian’s been up to is watching 80s fantasy movies, because from the visuals to the soundtrack (to his outfit) he has them down. No word yet on if this retro fantasy has anything in common with one of my previous retro fantasies: listening to the Strokes.

MP on BreakThruRadio…Last Week

I was going to mention that Your Boy Brian and I curated the show ”Anatomy of a Blogger” on BreakThruRadio in Boston…

But then I got high.

I was going to write about our guest blogging duties for their site…

But then I got high.

Now everybody’s mad at me and I know why…
Because I got high
Because I got high
Because I got high
La Da Dat Da Da Da

Online: Birdwell Beach Britches

“Telephone us to place an order or for answers to questions: 714 751 2071 or 557 7040 ... only family answers the phone. That’s my mom, Vivian; Sam is my son, and me: I’m Evelyn. We have enough answers in stock to match up with your questions, but if we don’t? We’ll make one up, on the spot. Our phone does have a hold button, we even use it in certain circumstances, but customers deserve our full attention. If both lines are busy, call back in a few minutes. We begin answering the phone around 5:00 in California’s morning, that’s Pacific Time Zone and we do Daylight Savings Time (DST). We stop at 3:00 in the afternoon, except on Friday when we close at 2:00 PM.”

Hank!

This is pretty funny, but it always bums me out when yet another one of my heros thinks what I do is bullshit.
